Hey all,

Well I had a chance to speak with Doug @ ECS (he's been working directly on my car) and he feels pretty confident that he's on a good path to getting my car to behave.

He didn't get into any details YET about what he's done, but I should hear how things went tomorrow morning and, and, and.... HOPEFULLY .... get the car on the dyno for proper tuning.

If all goes well tomorrow I hope to pickup my "new & improved" Vette Thursday.

 

I'm happy for you. With the ECS crew its only a matter of time before they get it right.

Okay, just got the update from Doug...... SHE'S READY!!!!!!!!!!!



I can't hardly wait! I'll be heading out there tomorrow to pickup my new BEAST by mid-morning. Did I mention I can't wait??!!!!!

Here's what I understand to be the "troublemaker" with my tuning issues - I have installed in the car a Track-active controller and what Doug "thinks" was happening is that when they were downloading the tune, the T/A controller would get tripped to put the car in Competitive Driving Mode and this "may" have caused a little glitch with the software tuning.

You can liken it to when you're installing a tune from Hypertech or Diablosport and in the directions it's very plain not to touch ANYTHING during the tuning process..... well, what became obvious was the T/A was being activated and probably caused the tuning problems.

Doug came to this conclusion because after replacing the PCM 2 times, then re-flashing a third, he finally decided to pull the T/A controller - TUNING WENT OFF WITHOUT A HITCH!

He did re-connect the the Track-active controller once the tuning was finished (hey, IT WORKS and I really like it). I think he installed some quick disconnects to make my next tuning adventure a bit easier.

THE RESULTS:

How's 487 rwhp & 459 rwtq sound? FREAKIN' AWESOME!! Doug told me the car is consistently pulling 8 lbs. of boost, so he kept the tune very conservative with an 11.5 a/f ratio. He did comment we could push it over 500, but I declined. This thing's got to stay together for a while (give my piggy bank a chance to recoup).

I am supremely happy and will be sure to post my driving impressions tomorrow. Thanks to ALL for your support, advice and encouragement these last few weeks....... I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!
