I'm curious about cutting my hood. Here's the setup:
Magnacharger with the hood from 21st CMC.
It looks as if there is a template already formed in the back of the hood by the windshield. Has anyone cut out these holes to act as heat extractors? I know that it probably wouldn't be wise to start hacking on fiberglass, so, has anyone had this done?
Sounds like you have the ACI hood, I have bought the "cowl kit" from ACI, it is just a fiberglass frame that fits the back of the hood, you just install the frame with 2 screws then trace the inside edge, remove frame and cut, then from the outside in,drill some referance marks to the inside panel, and cut out,and you are done. the kit does not come with any screen to cover the cut out, but I think I know where you can get some... www.hpperformancecorvettes.com

This is what I did and the kit I order from ACI came with a screen
