Default Tire Selection Help

I currently have a 98 C5 and am looking at replacing the rear tires. My stock OE rims are 18 X 9 1/2. The tires I would like to use are non run flats and are 315/30ZR18. Two questions I have are will the non run flats affect my air pressure sensors at all in my rims and will the 315 width work in my rear wheel well. Any answers to these questions would be appreciated before I spend the money for the tires.
Thanks

I think you have the wrong section, but I can still help.

1) Non run flats won't affect your sensors.
2) 315's are too big on the 98 stock rims.
3) If you have any power adders I have heard great things about the Nitto RII's. Thats on my wish list for sure.

I have 295's on the stock rear rims with no issues...

If you really want 315, you should do with at least a 10 1/2 wide rim...

I ran 315/30 tires on a 10.5" wheel for over a year and had no problems. I now run them on 12" wide wheels with no problem. I would not run them on 9.5" wheels. You can pick up some Y2K or Z06 wheels in 10.5" width fairly inexpensively.

I have Y2K polished rims. The rears are 18's and 9.5 width. Where would be a good place to purchase rims that would be 10.5 width?

You can get Y2K polished 10 1/2" rears from Nate at Corvette Garage. I got a mounted and balanced set from him with the 305/35/18 Nitto 555 R drag radials. I am very happy with this set-up.
