Default Rod length with FI

What is the stock rod length?
For an FI application is the stock rod length good or a slightly longer rod better? (427 or 383 CI ) I ask due to the side load issues with FI and also the need for strong pistons/ringlands.

With a 4" stroke (427 or 383) there isn't any room to move the rod length up, if at all. BTW, most of the stroker assemblies use a 6.125" rod vs the factory 6.098".

I always say that longer rods are nice, but stronger pistons are nicer. I'd even consider a 5.7" rod in an LS1, to avoid having the wrist pin in the ring land area.

Thanks again, yah maybe 5.7 would give a thicker piston to beat up.
