Default Which Pulley?

I have an 02' Z06 with the non I/C Magnacharger. I was putting out 5 lbs. of boost.

Just installed a cam and now am only putting out 4 lbs. of boost. I want to achieve between 5 and 6 lbs. of boost so which pulley should I go with?

Is there a way to tell which pulley I currently have? It's the front pulley that you change correct? I have a 58" belt if that makes a difference.

I bought the blower used with a set of headers from another car a year ago and only assume it's the stock size pulley...not sure since I hear you can lose boost with headers so I don't know if the pulley was changed.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

I know the newer pulleys are ussally 3.5 inchs for aprox 5.5lbs. It is the pulley that is in the back on the drivers side. Small belt. I could be wrong, but this is what people have told me. I am alittle surprised your cam dropped your psi, I would think most cams should hold the pressure, i.e. blower cam. I am still learning so I could be totally off.
Not sure if this helps you or not..LOL

I assumed it was on the back side also but this weekend someone told me the front one. I went with a fairly high lift cam and don't know if the Maggie was spinning enough to support it. I want to be in the 5.5-6 # range. Thanks for the response.

Anyone else?

Although I have th I/C one I've changed it twice and have always changed the front. If I remember correctly, on the polished or non-black pullies the size is stamped.

I'd love to hear what you end up getting with the new cam and if you don't mind, what it's numbers are..

BTW, I'd at least go with a 3.2 and add alky if you have to.. actually I'd go 3.0

for a non-IC Mag go with a 3.3 pulley. Should put you at 6lbs of boost and maybe a tadd over. That is what I had on mine.
3.0----8.5-9lbs of boost
3.1----7.5-8lbs of boost
3.2----6.5-7lbs of boost
3.3----6-6.5lbs of boost
3.4----5.5-6lbs of boost
3.5----5lbs of boost
This is just a rule of thumb. Other factors such as headers, size of headers, cam, size of cam, cats, no cats, will all change the boost accordingly.

Thanks guys. Wreck...I still plan on Jeff at CAM tuning the car. My #'s may be a bit off because of the install of the 3:90's but at least it will be tuned correctly.
