Basically stock except for intake, exhaust, gears. I had a Nx wet kit w/ all the features and safety options installed w/ the 100 shot jetting. But, I have not sprayed it yet. I will be throwing in some new NGK TR6's. Other than that, the car is like it was from the factory.
My question is, are there any other safety precautions i should take? Ive heard of pulling a few degrees of timing, but is this even worth worrying about? Also, i may go up to the 150 shot in the future.
I started with a 50 shoot and worked my up to 150 then back down to 100 after my gear swop & TC install. I also, monitored AF using autotap as I went to bigger shoots. It all depends on how carefull you want to get. I use the RamChargers timing controller to pull timing only during a spray. This is the way I do it. Lots of other opinions out there. Do what's comfortable for you and your pocketbook.
Unfortunally, Nos is addicted.......I sprayed my 99 for a while, I started at 100 and ended up with a 180. The first kit was a 100 shot with a fogger and the 180 shot was with an NXL Kit, I really liked both for honestly, I didnt have to pull my fogger kit to go quicker. The NXL cost me at around 1000.00 more and I didnt really improve my times that much.
Get the NX Kit with a fogger but if I was you I would get every safety option you can get. I warn you, it will add up but it could save your motor.
Also, make sure your AF is always perfect so you dont get any detonation.
If you have any questions, email me your number and I be happy to talk about it.
By the way, Im not spraying anymore since Im installing a 383 stroker with a D1SC.............maybe Ill spray a 35 shot just to cool it down.
