I have two sets of rims & tires for my car. I'm currently running 20" Yokohama's AVS's on the rear and get no traction most the way through third. I put on the stock Z06 rims/tires on and its even worse. These have about 500 miles on them.
I'm planning on replacing the stock tires on with something that will hook at the track,( 1/4 mile) any suggestions. I will need to drive about 40 mile one way to get to the track.
Anything else that will help, I'm tempted to put the battery in the rear.

If you've got Z width rims then you can go with the 315 drag radials. I'd do that if you're looking to drive the car to the track. I don't think moving the battery will help enough with the weight to offset the trouble.
The battery in the rear is not going to make any difference if you do not have rubber that will stick to the road. You can get a set of DR, or if you want to street it the Nitto street/race tire is supposed to help.
