Default IC Mag installed

Got my Vette back Monday night from Lingenfelter and finally got a sunny day for some pictures. LPE did a great job with the install - the vette runs very smoothly and the new power is . The dyno numbers came out a bit better than I expected @ 465 rwhp, 456 torque. Ed Potter at LPE did a real nice job of explaining the installation and took me on an extensive tour of the LPE shop when I dropped it off. The new ACI hood looks great - gaps are excellent and the color match looks to be just about perfect. The sale price was icing on the cake Great job Ed!

Those are fantastic numbers for just having the IC Mag. Lingenfelter really knows what they are doing!

LPE has run a couple of deals on IC Mag installs - this link should take you to their web "sale page":

http://www.lingenfelter.com/lpefeatureditems.asp

I tried to click further in just now and got an error screen - they may be updating the current deal on this.

When I signed up, I got free before and after dyno and free fuel rail covers.

I also have FLP LT Headers, hiflo cats, a Halltech filter and Corsa exhaust on it. I think that added ~20 to 25 rwhp.

Did Ed Potter talk about at what horsepower level you
need to be concerned about pistons and rods failing ?

I don't intend to try to add any more power - it has more than enough for me and the tires right now. I asked about going to forged internals and also about upgrading the output shafts, diff, etc. He advised that the OEM 6spd, rear end, internals should be just fine unless I plan on taking it to the drag strip frequently and ran drag radials. Since I don't plan on more than ocassional (like maybe at a Cruise-in) attempt at drag racing, I didn't pursue it further. I think 500 rwhp is the commonly used threshold for going to forged internals.

Congrats on a car transformed to that with the throttle response of a stroker and the top notch performance vs. refinement tradeoff typical of F.I. setups.

congrats but let me make a prediction...........I say in about 6 months, maybe less, you will be wanting more HP. If so just add the 21 CMC blower cam and a 3.1 pulley and you should see 485-500rwhp. Car looks good BTW!!!
