I've asked three times on the forum. Finally got fed up and spent some time of the phone with the guys from TNT (I've got a F1 kit with a 15lb bottle). I'm gonna mount the bottle with the valve facing to the passenger side and on a lockable-hinged base/platform in the rear center compartment. So I can accesss wiring and other things underneath
Heres a pic of my buddies(1 NASTY Z), took a lot of work but this is how he mounted his in his Z06. I was thinking the compartment in a FRC wasn't the same as a coupe and thats why he made this up, my coupe's is mounted like marlochris's. Maybe he'll chime in with updated pics. with his bottle, very nice set-up
i dont have any saftey switches , i tried to install the msd rmp switch,, i could not get it to work...(not really your electrical guy)
i just hit the juice from 3000 rpm and on,, i like it better anyways having full control of the kit....you just have to watch the first to second shift , it comes instant.,.
the best run i have is 11.55 at 124.61 on a horrible short time of 1.87 , so high 10's is very possible with ET streets.
oh and i had my bottle mounted in the compartment from side to side , but i was having problems with the n20 getting pushed against the wall of the bottle , when i was hitting the gas,, it was pushing the n20 against the wall and would come on and off, so i mounted the bottle facing the front of the car,, ended that problem, i get all the juice in the bottle even the last pound ...
Here's mine, The cover fits fine, the bottle is mounted at such an angle and the siphon tube has been moved so that it is towards the left rear of the bottle so you never miss out on any juice when your getting on it. My MSD and WOT are mounted in battery compartment.
I was having the same problem and changed my mounting like this:
No problems since changing it.

It is quite possible to hide the bottle although it is tight. Here's mine. It's not the prettiest but again, it's not for show, it's for go. and no one sees it when the cover goes over it anynow. I had to use only the lower bottle mount near the top because the top bottle mount made the bottle angle too high for the cover to fit on. You'll have to fab some type of false bottom to mount the bottle bracket(s) to that press fits into the compartment bottom. Also, as mentioned above; the angle, both horizontally and vertically, will be mininal. If I were to re-do it I would have angled the bottom of the bottle towards the rear more but I wanted as much room for an opener as possible. I had to make it so my valve was sitting level for the cover to fit which meant I needed to take the valve off the bottle and adjust the siphon tube so it was in the ideal place to draw nitrous from while under acceleration. I had surging problems as well until I got a bottle heater. At 1100 PSI all the N2O is certain to be liquid.
So I can mount the bottle in the rear compartment and it be hidden. What about line routing? I do not want to cut or drill ETC. thru the body.
No the one I build definitely isn't the hidden type. It's more of a show piece. It actually replace the stock cover. It goes on just like the stock cover but it's made of diamond plate. It has compartments for the bottles to sit down in, and at the correct angle. A ten pound bottle with bottle opener clears the convertible top when it's down if you have a convertible.
