ANYONE INTERESTED IN RECEIVING A FREE COPY OF MY "GASEOUS INTERCOOLING" E-MAIL ME YOUR POSTAL MAILING ADDRESS: GREG@BLOWERWORKS.NET. I'VE BEEN INJECTING WATER SINCE 1970 (HOW OLD DOES THAT MAKE ME-LOL).
I USED WATER/ALCOHOL ON VETTES BEGINNING IN 1987 AND CONTINUED TO DO SO WHEN I INTRODUCED MY C5 KIT IN 1998. BY THE WAY DENATURED ALCOHOL IS THE BEST TO USE. DENATURED IS 99% ETHANOL WHICH CONTAINS MORE BTU's PER POUND THAN METHANOL AND IS FAR LESS CORROSIVE. DENATURED IS SOLD IN ALL HARDWARE STORES LIKE HOME DEPOT. ALSO NEVER USE TAP WATER - ALWAYS USE DISTILLED WATER. REGARDS TO ALL-GREG
Guys Slow Down Here. Rubbing Alcohol Is Isopropanol. You Can Use It But It Is Not "denatured" Alcohol. Denatured Alcohol Is Ethanol (what You Drink, I.e. Liquor) Made Poisonus By Adding A Little Methanol. All Hardwares In The Paint Section Sell "denatured Alcohol" By The Gallon And It Is Called "denatured Alcohol"

I was just about to post this.
Denatured alcohol is definately not rubbing alcohol. I think it's also a little more expensive than rubbing alcohol. I've used it before as a paint solvent which it does a great job at. I would be very careful when pouring it into your reservoir and be sure to never turn your wiper fluid pump on
Seems like it would work great as an injection alcohol though, and as was posted, is readily available at hardware stores. The brand I bought a while back was "Strip Kleen".
From: Providing the most proven supercharger kits for your C5/6/7 609-752-0321
Hey Greig,
Welcome to the forum. For you guys who are not familar with Gregs work he is truly one of the pioneers of C5 supercharging. Back in 98-99 I was doing a project for a collector in Manhatten buiding a duel Whipple charged V-12 Jaguar. I wound up using Gregs neighbor for the cnc work,Randy Odanahue, since things were almost never done on time I would walk next door and hang out with some of your former imployees. I believe they were Joe and Andrew? Anyway I had plenty of time to eye up some of the cars and the work was fantastic. All this while most of us were still scratching our heads and procharger was not an option yet (I think). So any info you wish to indulge us with is apprieciated by me anyway. There is no better time than today to learn somthing new.
