Default EDD no more...

Well, after plenty of making fun of those who don't take their vettes out in bad weather or even worse put them in storage!!! Alright, I admit I had to do it- We got a foot of snow in NJ and I decided to leave the vette home today and probably the rest of the week worrying about the roads. I guess I can take the everyday driver out of my future posts... It was painful to wave goodbye to the car as the garage door closed. I then had to explain to my wife why I wasn't looking at her when I waved as I left

28 inches in CT. Took the beater to work. Missing my fix of PermaGrin(TM). Hope the salt and grit gets washed away soon so I can bring it out for an airing.

With snow banks twice as tall as my vette I think she will be taking a nap in the garage for the next three months. I welcome the warmer weather and some rain!!

So now you can join those of us who go down to the garage (almost nightly in some cases), sit in the drivers seat and make Vroom-Vroom noises

I think you have a very good excuse for not driving the Vette in that kind of conditions. If you could have gotten around, I would be amazed.

It could be worse (cold/snow) for you all.

It's 70 degrees today in DFW. Streets have been dry for about a week.

Not a cloud in the sky.

No wind to speak of.

Two (2) Verts sit in my garage.

Both are covered with car covers.

Both are connected to battery tenders.

I am in the house (retired).

But...... due to recent surgeries I am unable to drive either one

As it now stands, I'll have another surgery in Feb., with another recovery period of 6-9 months

Since 1-17-04 (date of accident) I have driven but once or twice in the Verts, on time as a RIDER

Now, do you still feel bad about a week or so of not driving?

Want to trade places?

I adopted a different philosophy, but don't get me wrong, I love driving my
vette! But after not driving it for a week or longer, I find I enjoy it that
much more when I do drive it! And it seems the more money I put into the
car, the longer I want it to last! Its the proverbial, "caught between a
rock and a hard place"!

Thanks for the sympathy and thanks for the weather reports from the south
I think next week looks to be in the 40's and some rain. I don't think I will be able to wait that long...

After driving the co. car all weekend due to the snow I needed a fix. Took it to the gym last night. Roads weren't too bad - very minimal salt. But the parking lot at the gym was an ice skating rink....lots of rolling.

Yeah, my roads were fine on the way to work, but the car is just so CLEAN sitting in the nice warm garage!!! I will be in Atlantic City for business Thursday and Friday so I plan on taking it out.
