Colgan bra
Anyone have any experience with the Colgan bra for their vette? We are planning a long trip this spring and I am thinking about putting a bra on to protect from stone chips. I am aware of the GM bra. Any comparisons between GM, Colgan and Covercraft? Thanks for your help. C5 XTC

We have the carbon fiber Colgan bra. Easy on, easy off no snaps, it just slids between the inner fender well and the fender. Has held up great, HOWEVER, they are not speed rated and ours came loose once at 134 mph 
. One of the lower tabs came off and the bra came up over the hood but stayed on the car 
. No damage to the car.

Unless you want to spend a ton on a bra, the GM bra can't be beat for $75. It is very secure but doesn't cover as much as the Colgan. The Colgan has great coverage but is ugly. A friend of mine almost had a Colgan headlight cover fly off at hwy speed.

I have the same bra on my 04' vert, and it is the best looking one yet. IMHO.

I've had 6 colgan bras since 1983. Got one for my 04 coupe and couldn't get it on. Sent it back at my expense for "adjustment." It was returned with the same results. Three of us could not get it on. Customer service was very disappointing. My options were to ship it back AT MY EXPENSE again for a refund. That would have been 3 times for a total or $36 invested in shipping. Or, if I purchased another style bra from them, plus shipping, they would pay for the 2nd return of the first bra. I told them to stuff it and I would keep the bra and take my business elsewhere. And they let me. A polite follow-up email complaint to customer service got no response.
If anyone wants it, send me $12 bucks for shipping, then another $50 if you can get it on. oh never mind.
