Default Which Motor should I use?

Would anyone recommend supercharging a LS6, or dropping in a 402ci, or 427ci. Which would you rather do and why? I'm leaning towards the 402ci cause its $7,000 less expensive than the 427ci. I'm told the power is very similar.

427 - If I could afford it, it would be under my hood right now.

Depands on your goals. I could have bought a 427 for what I just spent on my new motor. But if you want the HIGH HP and really cool factor go for the FI 346ci/383ci and throw a TT or a SC on it. Then you will have around 200rwhp more than a NA 427ci.
Let us know what you decide...cant go wrong either.

Hmmmmm,
So, you found that for the same money as a 427, you could build a 402 and have enough left over to add a supercharger to your new engine. Sound like a plan to me !

Unless you've got a ton of money to blow, build an extra strong 346/383/402, and boost it. Unless you would rather stick with the NA route, then go for the 427. Really, you can't go wrong either way!! Either setup would be sweet!
