[Z06] under hood light

Default under hood light

hey guys,any of you had a problem with the light under the hood not coming on.The light bulb looks ok,any ideas

It's happened to me too. Check the connection, follow the wire, goes down by the air cleaner.

Same here but haven't looked into it, if it added power, it would be fixed

Yep, same here. Bulb looks good but light won't come on.

There are some other lamps on this circuit....... do these work okay on your car??

1) Vanity Visor Lamps
2) Map Lamps
3) Glovebox Lamp
also.... AutoDim mirror is on this circuit (if you have this option)

If these do work, this would rule out a fuse or relay problem. I'm guessing the on/off mechanism inside the underhood lamp housing could go bad due to corrosion. If the above three lamps work, then I would say you have either a wiring problem from the relay to the lamp, or a bad assembly.

I disconnected mine.Does nothing anyway as far as illumination. My hood is open all winter to keep battery on trickle charge.Same as my c4 will never hook it up again.

None of mine work? Then Again I have a toggle switch to Kill all the Rear lights wired in, just in case maybe thats why?
