Installed Raptor Shift Light! Pics...
I installed the raptor shift light this morning. I want to thank
PATCHES, FLYIN'BRIAN and
SPD DMN for the install instructions and pics...even if you didn't know you helped me. I chose the under the steering column method as suggested...
Raptor shift light install
Any time I'm working on the vette and need some advise or instruction, I just go to the forum and there it is...
Anyway, here are a couple of pics...they aren't very good, my camera doesn't like close-ups...
Light on turn key, start-up test mode...

very nice. I've been thinking of installing a shift light myself. Where did you get the Raptor at? price?

Timing is perfect as I have mine on my work bench ready to install when the car gets back from having the roll bar installed on Tuesday.
I was going to put mine in the same location and wondered how you liked it there and if you can see it well there?

That's where I put mine as well and I think it's a great location - out of the direct line of sight yet still easily seen when it's activated. It's an unobtrusive location so my passengers never notice it.

Hey Oliver
Where did you hook up the power and ground? Also, how hard was it to find the white tech wire?

Picked up power from the big orange wire on the left side of the ignition harness (switched power). Ground to the metal behind the dash. I didn't have a working meter to test the tach wire, so I just kept trying till I found the correct one. Of course, it was the last white wire I checked...
