Packed up the house and rented the largest Uhaul with the flatbed on the back and drove 1719.5 miles to Stafford Springs Connecticut from Dallas Tx
When we hit Ohio we drove through huge rain storms then into total snow and ice and had to stay over at hotels until the weather let up.
18 wheelers are the worst and by the millions on the highways doing top speed in any weather.
But we made if safely and now I understand putting the Vet up for the winter as there is now way to drive this car in the ice and salt and dirt that is on the roads in this weather.
Congrats...I have no idea where stafford springs is but if u ever want to get together, send me a pm. What kind of vette do u have?

Welcome to CT. I don't think that the taxes are bad - I used to live in England - after that, this is a tax free state, trust me.
I'm in East Lyme, CT (south east coast) and I love this little state. Lots of Officer Friendlys that likes Vettes (at least the ones I have met). I'm a member of the Corvette Club of Connecticut - we meet the first Tuesday of every month in Branford (close to New Haven - down on the coast for the geographically challanged )
There are places you can drive at light speed... 'nuff said
I was born in Stafford Springs. Raised about 3 miles away in another small town. I used to go to the Stafford Speedway every Friday nite when I was a kid in high school. I remember the old dirt track days. I have family there. Visited last May. Its a small world......
Don't worry, it really does improve in the spring We've had some talk of us Nor'easters getting together come spring/summer for a Cruise-in of our own.
