it worked perfect... the water just flowed down the other side of the street... when the town found out they went nuts... they came pounding on my door asking what happened.... i just played dumb...they dug up the road and replaced the culvert instead of just moving it like i asked.... well... now i was PISSED!!...sure enough... i filled it again...

.... still to this day the road crew or town bigwigs won't even look my way
i should have just done the legal way first... i would have won and wouldn't have pissed everyone off

i went to pick up a friend at a hotel in orlando, and they had about 5 speed bumps that were higher than my car.... after dealing with that sickening scraping sound of the entire bottom of the car being hurt, i immeadiatly installed the "frame savers" from A&A. Now atleast if im in a face off with these damn bumps, i know they cant hurt me

When I owned my '94, I made a point to cruise nice and slow through my neighborhood. Why? I never wanted it to be said by anyone "there goes that jerk speeding through in the Corvette." So the neighborhood association circulates a petition to have them installed...AND MY WIFE SIGNS IT!!!
I about came unglued! By the time I found out the neighborhood had already submitted the petition to have the work done
It actually increased speeds in the neighborhood. Why? Because all the soccer moms floor it after they go over them to make up the precious seconds they lost slowing down for them in the first place.
I told my wife that if she ever signs anything on our behalf again without asking me, I'd remove every writing instrument from the house and trade in her car (yes, I said that).

Wow, tough one. If you publicly complain, they'll know who screwed with them in the event that going through the proper authorities fails. If you destroy them, you could really be asking for trouble in the event you get caught... not to mention how your neighbors will feel about your actions.
I think I'd get some frame savers to start with. It will take a long time for gas to really do them in, but slowly chip away at the bumps with something after the gas softens them up. You could always wait for a good hot sunny day then rent a roller to lower them a little.

It's not the association per se that asked for it to be done. They just kind of took up the cause on behalf of some residents. In Fort Worth, if you get enough signatures from a given neighborhood, the city will install them on a public street. The reality is that almost all new neighborhoods are putting them in these days (at least in this area). I took over as association president for a few years and looked into having them removed, but the cost stopped us from doing it. That said, I was successful in getting a lot of the busybodies that started the whole business kicked off the board and out of people's hair

As we all know, it isn't normally the Corvette owners causing the problem. 98% of the time, it's the young kids with the ricewagons and the soccer moms in mini-vans.
