Dead battery / check engine light
Ok, so I have not been driving the Vette since the weather has been quite dreary, and I left the hatch open today while I detailed the interior. Ergo, battery goes dead.
I put it on my charger and she starts no problem, but I have a "check engine" light. Does this sound normal? It's on the charger now...

On my 2001 I had the check engine, reduced engine power, service active handling - this was the day my battery went dead - I replased it with a red top and everything was back to normal. Did not even loose a radio channel when I changed out the battery

Probably due to the dead battery, I had all kinds of weird stuff happen when mine went bad.
Try this:
-fully charge the battery
-start the car, let it run a few minutes
-clear/reset all codes on the DIC
If nothing comes back you're
, if a new code comes up you might want to check it out.

The light can come on for a lot more than just engine related codes.....probably just the battery.Paul
