Default Flush Tail Light Kit

Has anyone installed the flush lite kit on a C5? I'm considering it for no other reason than because the ledge behind the lite lens seems to stay dirty all the time on my Black Z06.

I have it and love it. It'll keep it alot cleaner than before. It's also very easy to install and looks awesome when it is. I say do it. You won't regret it.

Some like it, some don't !

Most that don't like the "flush" look complain about the weather-stripping around the lights.

Good Luck

I bought mine from a fellow member and am extremely pleased with them. I thought about going to Home Depot and doing it myself but the kit comes with little lexan/plexiglassblocks already cut.

Here's a pic.... guess it would show them better at an angle but you can still tell there more flush.

Here's another... a little bit of an angle.

I haven't paid much attention but does West Coast, Ecklers etc sell those kits?

I know Ekler's has them, others probably do also. I actually ordered the kit from Ekler's and was having second thoughts. The comments and pic above convince me. Can always be reversed.....

I believe West Coast still carries these, as does PFYC. I have it on my car and like the look. It doesn't totally keep the dust out but it helps and it gives your car personality.

The flush kits look nice on the C5. I've seen a number of them installed on forum member's cars. Go for it.

Does anyone know if it would look good to use the chrome grills on my tail lights and install the flush mount kit? What would I buy to make a set?

...or better yet $3.95 for a water bottle...
When you stop...rinse as you go

Last resort flush mount taillights...but with blackouts...

Grump seeing your wreck makes us all sad....

The flush mounts are nice IMHO. I bought the material from Lowes and did it in about 1.0 hours.

I would say the only complaint would be seeing the weather stripping, but it is not eay to see.

Ole Uncle Stu is making fun of me...... If I could catch him I'd tell him a thing or two. OK, I'll try the soap and water thing, which goes on first, the soap or the water???

I installed mine about 3 weeks ago and like the look. I don't think you would regret them.

I think PFYC is the cheapest but, Ecklers will match their price if you ask them. Or you can get the parts form Lowes and do it yourself for even less. It's a good look when you are finished.

I installed the flush mount kit from West Coast Corvettes a couple of weeks ago. I think it looks realy nice - not a *huge* change, but it makes a nice, subtle difference.

I also installed some chrome inserts from SS, and IMHO the combination really spruces up the rear end!
