You need them if you are going to lift your baby....

Make your own

Or buy the vette ones premade - or I have heard the BMW ones work...

Default Jacking Pucks...

National Tire and Battery won't lift my car.....turned me down flat.....so I think there must be something good about these things. The cheap hockey pucks sound like a reasonable alternative.

I bought the square permanent hard plastic jacking pucks from Eckler’s. They’re the ones that you snap in and leave on the vehicle. I had to remove them when I had Andy at A&A install a set of his rocker rail savers. I couldn’t use both, as the rocker rail savers cover about half of the jacking puck hole in the frame.

I bought the ones for a Beemer. They work great. I think all 4 cost me $20 some odd dollars shipped from I think it was Bimmer.com. There is a thread with teh info on the site somewhere.

I use them - bought mine from a Forum Vendor. Good idea to take them with you on a trip in the event you find it necessary to lift the car, i.e. changing/repairing a tire.

Not me. I have the Rocker Rails from A&A so I can lift the car anywhere along the side, NASCAR style. Works great, much easier, no worries.

Check these out. So pretty you can use them as paper weights... (they make them for C5s also).

If you have no rocker rail protectors you can get the new ones they have at Ecklers. They insert right in the lifting point and twist right in and stay there, like the BMW's. Plus they are not thick like some of the others you buy (or home make) so you can get the jack underneath them. I thought about getting them but I have rocker rail protectors and they obstruct their installation. Besides, the rails eliminate the problem anyway.

What type of jack is being used ? Does anyone have a jack that can be carried in the back of the Vette. For those of us that don't have 'run flats"
