Hey guys, I bought a blackwing off of Rockgt302 (great transaction!) and I decided I'd clean it up. I bought a kit from TByrne (They recommended the Holley Power Shot Air filter cleaning kit for this filter) so I bought that. Well I cleaned it and went to oil it and realized the oil came in a bottle that opens like a pert plus shampoo bottle (little opening on a rocker top). I've oiled the cold air intake on my truck every year for 5 years with the K&N kit (in which the oil comes in a spray bottle) but can't do my new filter with this kit . I was wondering if anyone else had problems trying to oil the whole pleat with this kit? Can I pour this stuff into a spray bottle? ...Thanks

Hey Rob-
Just oil it one pleat at a time if spraying it makes you nervous. Just use a steady consistent bead on each one. The oil will spread after on it's own. Just try not to over oil it, when the oil get into the MAF and you end up with bells abd whistles ... I know that's what you're worried about right? Just take your time. As long as you don't "soak" it with oil , you'll be fine. Good luck bro.

Yeah. There's a guy here who mixes the oil (and rubbing alcohol to thin the oil so it'll spray), but I don't know the ratio. I asked him about it, he said the alcohol dissipates and he's had no issues. I'll try and find it. It was within the last week or so.
