I agree that it sounds a little high - they were going for less than 40K new (with rebates)....
I doubt that, the MSRP had to be almost 55K+ depending on the other options. A base vert was $50,735 and the CE package was $3,700. So with rebates that would be about 45K.
Nevertheless, that price is still to high for used.
In the fall of 2004 that car could have been bought brand new for very close to $40k
AND they are NOT rare by any stretch of the imagination.
Not saying it's not a nice car, because IT IS, but the asking price is way too high and if you were hoping on it being rare becasue it is a Commerorotive Edition, I'd just like you to know, it is not.

.....and you are so close to Kerbeck in Atlantic City NJ. You went too far if you searched the globe, you should have just come up north a little to AC. They were selling CE's at the end of the year for foolish prices...
Needed room for all the C6's..... what ever it took to get the 04's outta there, they were doin.................
Bought my 04 CE brand new, no miles with a list of 58.7 for 44 in Nov. 2100 of that was GM mastercard rebate.
The ce does NOT make it rare. I love my car, but it is not going to be a collectors item with the numbers produced.
47 is way too high.
Hope this helps.
Steve.
if there are 40K 2004 CE verts for sale, I'd like to see 'em
You all are smoking something...those cars in the CONVERTIBLE form stickered for 54K to 58K new. The coupes were less, and non CE coupes even less. Rebates were 7K to 12K. But once you add tax, the net out the door price was 47K to 52K. With 7K on the odometer, it's practically new, but sures there's room for negotiation. Problem is when people throw out what their purchase price was it doesn't tell the whole story (what was the total on paper price), what month did they purchase (the latter the month the higher the rebates), and what model did they purchase (there were more autos left over when rebates were highest, CE or not, vert or not) Some people didn't get as low a price as someone else, but maybe they got all the options/colors they wanted.
Bottom line is just because a few people picked up a 'what was left' corvette in the end of 2004 doesn't depreciate the whole model line...other the normal depreciation of driving a new car off the lot.
