Default I need A little help....

When my Z is in neutral clutch in or out I can feel the car shake slightly as if it has a slight twitch (hard to explain). The tach is not moving up and down yet it feels as if were, kinda like a race car on the line at a drag strip (again hard to explain). Its a '03 3k miles, took it to the dealer and they said all Z's are like this. The car is stock except for the Haltech stinger intake but it was doing this before the mod, actually I have the new exhaust waiting to go on but figured I should have this looked at first... anyone else have this problem......Ty

I don't have an answer to the reason why the car has a slight shake....BUT i do have a solution....stick a big cam in there and at least gain an additional 30rwhp for your "shake."

My car shakes like you describe. It makes me smile really wide. It's the slight lope that is transmitted through the stiff body that you feel - I think. My '03 Z has 13K and is stock except for the PIAA driving light mod.

My 01 does the same thing. I think it is normal too. I have 24k miles on it and I have the Stinger-R on mine as well.

Thank you for your responses. I'm ready to do more mods and didn't want to cover up a possible problem...

Yup, it's normal. Just enough lope to remind you it's not a luxury car.

My 04 does the same thing. I love it, you know it's not a Camry. Almost gives me wood.

02 with 8 K miles does the same thing. Surprising that it does that with as much LSA as the stock cam has. I agree with what the others said, it should be a motivational factor rather than a concern.

Turn off the radio and roll down the windows, you will enjoy it more. And it does give me wood.

Default help with z06

TYZ-TOY, I have a blue 02,Z. It does the same thing. The best I can figure is it is doing the Z06 dance. The reason for the dance is the lobes and the cam is just separated enough for the horses to get out.
The way I cure that is, just get in the Z and go through the first four gears with the tack between 5-6K
Go Figure
