My state (VA) requires a front license plate and the bra that came on my car when I bought it does not accomodate it. The one on it uses snap/screws in the wheel wells and I want to keep the same type.
Anyone know who made this one or where I can get one that snaps and will take a license plate.

I have the GM bra and it uses the snaps in the wheel wells and under the front of the fascia. It also has a small clear plastic piece sewn in to show at least a part of the front plate. The LEO's may still stop you because they can't see the whole plate (trust me, I know this first hand). I ended up getting a local upholstery shop to modify the bra to add a bigger clear plastic piece to it to show the entire plate.
Just so you know - unless you buy a Speed Lingerie (SL) bra, ALL others will be black. If you have a black Vette, then by all means go with the GM bra. But I personally hate black bras on non-black Vettes.
If you're looking for the best made, highest quality, tightest fitting bra, then no one can touch the SL, IMHO.
I live in Illinois where the front license plate is required by law. But I use a full bra without a front plate opening, strictly for cosmetic reasons. I keep the front plate under my floormat. If I ever get pulled over, I am prepared to inconspicuously place it on top of my dash prior to the cop walking up.
I've seen most exotic car owners leaving the front plate off the car. As long as you display it on the dash, they won't issue a citation. It's low risk the way I'm handing it.
And here in Illinois, you won't get a citation for a missing plate unless you are confronted while moving. No concern of getting a ticket while parked.
I really DO NOT like the front plate on my C5 Corvete. My Colgan full bra is complete, uninterrupted and very smooth looking. I wish IL would change it's law on that.
BTW: The Colgan mounts with tabs that are "pressure fit" between the fenders and their liners. I thought it was a real dumb design until I've had it off and on a few times. It actually works quite well. It also stayed on tight on my 152mph run.
Do you guys use those clear plastic seat covers with the little embossed diamond bubbles too? My mother in law still uses these on her living room furniture - its uncomfortable and looks like crap, but underneath I bet it still looks good. Cars can be washed and even repainted.
I just never uderstood car bras - I never had a drooping front end that needed support or shaping.
You may want to check the vehicle code for your particular state, but most that I’ve checked on read as follows: “The vehicle’s front license plate must be, at all times, securely mounted to the vehicle in such a manner as to prevent the plate from swinging. It must be mounted in such a place as to be clearly visible and must be maintained in a legible condition.”
Throwing it up on the dash to avoid a citation probably is not going to work.
