Default Tire Warranty Question

When someone buys new tires they can get "road hazard" protection. So was wondering if the new tire warranty on the original equipment tires cover road hazard? (I know, I can pull my warranty and read it but am too lazy )

Not as far as I know. I got a flat and they told me to go somewhere else. Then I couldn't find anyone that could work on runflats so I bought a plug kit and fixed it myself.

the manf warranty only covers again defects. Go to DTC and buy the road hazzard. Although if you are under warrnanty some dealers will cover a tires. Depends on the service mgr.

When I had my '99, I had a flat within a few months of owning the car. Looked in my warranty book on the tires and come to find out they covered flats within the first 12 months, 12,000 miles of ownership. They fixed it for free. If it would have been unservicable, they would have replaced the tire. If you have a warranty book for your tires, it may pay you to read what they say about road hazards.

Excellent advice! Do read the tire manufacturer's warranty.
