Default Car Show Idea feed back please

I saw a post earlier about a vette show in TN, and got me to thinking about this (and by the way a few of us may be attending the show also). The club I'm associated with has been considering hosting an all Corvette show. This show would be an Indoor show, with about 150 spaces. The show would last for 2 days and on the second day awards would be given out. The building is a Convention Center, and is heated and cooled, very comfortable. There would also be security over night for cars. I know most shows are outdoors, but what if there was an Indoor show in your area, would you be interested in going. Opinions please.

Like I said this is something we are considering only at this time.

Indoor shows are fun and it doesn't matter what the weather's doing outside. We used to have our annual NCCC show in a mall in Fort Myers over the father's day weekend. The vettes would go in Friday night and Sat morning and come out Sunday after the awards. There was security 24 hours and there was never a problem I knew of. The shoppers liked the show, too. We had to rope off the cars before they were judged though so shoppers weren't accidently touching ( you know how the NCCC rules hate finger prints and smudges!). Anyway, one word of caution, do not use tire dressing on your tires during an indoor show... ...very very hard to stop.....and slippery if someone steps in it.
All in all an indoor show is lots of fun. Let us know what you decide to do

Indoor shows can be lots of fun, but many have very strict rules, especially about detailing your cars inside the building (particularly tires). Depending on what the site stipulates, I'd say go for it. Don't have to worry about bad weather ruining the day and helps keep the dust off.

I've have heard of them, but haven't entered on yet. If Jonesboro was a
little closer, I'd go.

The Chevy Vettefest is March 12th in Chicago at McCormack Place.
It will be my first indoor show, and I can't wait.

Have been to a couple and they are fun. Be aware that most indoor shows have strict rules set by the local fire marshall that requires all batteries to be disconnected.
Not a big deal but an aggravation. Usually, no tire dressings are allowed to be used either, depending on the floor surface.
