Default 21" or Bigger

Has anyone gone nuts with huge rims. The largest I have seen here is 20". Can you go bigger? If so, I would like to see pics...how big can you go??

DAMN!! I don't think you'll find 21's in a size that will fit the vette. At least not yet. 20's already look too big. 21's would either leave you with 1 inch of rubber or you'd have to jack up the car, monster truck style, to get them under there!

There probably won't be any side wall on the 21". I have 20" rear.

Just wondering, I have seen smaller cars then ours with 20's. I think 20's look good, not to big, 21's however, might be to big. Still would love to see someone try!

So you have 19's on front and 20's on rear, and think anything larger would not fit....or not look right?

My neighbor got some 20's all around, hit a pothole on the freeway, messed up the rim, wasn't too hard to lift the car , just a couple of blocks and it was fine, his car wasn't lowered though.

275 front and 305 rear (about $400 each but shop around for good deals). House of Wheels has good deals on rims. I had initally ordered the IFORGE Aero but after waiting months and months, I gave up. I went with HAL Q1 and z06 springs with about 2" lowered all arounds. My front plastic air dam do scrap in hard cornering, other than that it rides pretty nice. If you like it to be lowered than mine, go with coilovers set up. Forum member Allkar has an awesome setup.

Here's my 99 coupe with stock bolt lowering.

In the March issue of 'Corvette magazine', there is an five page article entitled 'smoke and mirrors', about a done silver Z06. He is running 19/20 Davin Speed SP-1 wheels. It states he is canning these in favor of a 20/22 set up. Nice wheels, and car, not junked up!
Hope that answers your question Canuck!

PS. I have seen a 70 Hemi Cuda done by 'Rad rides by Troy', and it also had 22's on the back!
