Hello everyone, I just recently purchased a 99 black FRC and today i got my extra door sill seals and my hood seal. my nephew put on the hood seal and instead of putting it on the horizontal lip he put it on the vertical one. it looks like it still seals well and makes good contact with the hood. Would it be worth it to take it off and reapply it properly? thanks

I would think ti would protrude upwards past the fascia when the hoods up.
IMHO, for all the good it will do, I'm afraid you could wrap it around your steering wheel and it would work just as well. Glad you're on the Forum and keep on modding!
Good posts - so do these actually keep the engine cleaner? and do the door sill guards help with water spots in the sill area?
The sill guards are worthless... the hood seal helps to keep the engine bay clean. I just hope you didn't pay too much for it... it's a 5 dollar item at home depot.. welcome to the forum..
Its a good idea to run any mods or consideration for doing anything on the forum .. Some one has probably done it before and can offer some tips... or better choices etc...
Should be fine. It does help to keep the engine compartment cleaner and dry. If you try removing it, you will probably not be able to get it to stick again without new adhesive.

This is the second reference I have seen to the home depot product, but can't find anything with specifics. Can you point me in the right direction? I am assuming it is in the weatherproofing aisle. Might have to pick it up when I get my frost king sound proofing!

Thanks E-T,
I installed your Home Depot "performance hood seal" mod. I would like to get a few more HP from the Home Depot "performance door sill seal" mod as well. Would the seal for the door sill be about the same diameter, or smaller?
