Keyless Entry Question
I have a 97 Vette.
I bought the car without the keyless transmitter .... only the ignition key. Can I get the factory transmitter replaced thru a dealer and what would it cost? Thanks.

It sure can. You can either page one of the forum dealers from the list on the side and check out the pricing or check out the catalog houses or ebay for one. The part number is 10253839. The dealer list is $123.44 GMpartsdirect.com has is listed for $70.36 but their shipping is usually pretty high...worth a look though.

Once you get it you will need to retrain it to work with your car. Post here and someone will put up the instructions for doing so (unless you have the manual, then just follow the procedure as listed in the manual.)

I bought the remote from GMPartsDirect.com .....$84 including shipping.
I came back to the forum for instructions on programming and I now have keyless entry! Thanks for your help!!!!
