I too just got my first 'Vette and I know how you feel.
Mine is also a '98 vert but with the light oak top and interior. I love it. The weather was unusally nice this weekend so I drove it everywhere I went - and turned lots of heads. I even had the top down yesterday.
I know you are enjoying yours too. Nothing like it.
