I bought my 2000 coupe used and the front is so low that I’m beginning to question if one of the previous owners (I’m the third owner) might have lowered the car on the stock bolts. I measured my front air dam over the weekend and it is 3.25 inches from the ground. Does anyone know if that is stock or not? If it is lowered, I plan on raising it back to the stock level so I won’t scrape my driveway every time I arrive or leave.

And I'm going lower
I have the rear lowering bolts and the front bolts with the bushing already cut and ready to install. I intend to trim the rubber airdam for clearance.
If you want to see really l-o-w.. look up pictures of CF member ALLKAR. His car is unbelieveable!!!

Why do you want to go lower??? I honestly don't understand. Just limits where you can drive it. Help me out here!
Are the front tires stock sizes? If not, it could be the reason for the near 1/2" difference. I had 255/40/17 fronts on my '98 and the clearance from the front black air dam to the road was about 3 1/4". My backs were 285/35/18, about 7/10" inch lower than stock.
Mike, they are Kumuhos and I've always assumed their size was stock, but I haven't actually looked. I'll check it out.
My neigborhood has speed humps and people almost rear end me when I have to crawl over them at 10-mph to keep from scraping. It is annoying but a small price to pay for having such a sweet ride.
