I'm buying a slightly damaged facia off of a local forum member who's going Tigershark... going to try and make this smooth cover. It'll be interesting if I can find a good material to bond urethane and have it hold up.
Any bodymen have any ideas? I was going to buy a smooth front plate cover, fuse the two together, then fill, and paint it all.
Give the guys at the POR15 website a call. They have some 2 part epoxy sticks that mold like wet clay (you use water to work the stuff). See what they think.
I've used it to repair windsurf boards (urethane) with great success. It takes paint perfectly.
Thanks fellas... I'm going to talk to the body shop about doing it and see if they know how to work the stuff. I'm going ot buy a smooth plate cover and get that all molded in.
3M makes a 2 part epoxy just for that situation. Check with your local body shop supply house. There is also a product called Duramix but I believe 3M bought them out.

I agree that is what I used to fix my fender when it bounced off the side of the trailer.
It sets up very nice and best part is it does not shrink with time or heat and you do not need a glaze over it.
It is a bit steep at about $200 for the dual tube but you should only need 1 set to fill that area.....maybe
