Default trunk liner help?

I have a trunk lid liner and I love it, but, I can not get the pile type tape (velcro) to stick to the lid. Any ideas? When I put it on it was clean, and only one side is doing it. Anyone use differant tape? Help as I love this but if it falls off even when I close the lid very easy, it is no good. Thanks in advance!

Dave I have a trunk liner coming for my Z06. I am going to use a littel slicone to gule the velcro to the trunk lid works well and can be removed quite easly if needed. I have used this method on other things like my side screen havent had a problem.

You might try cleaning the area with denatured alcohol first. Wax, oil, etc. may be keeping the tape from sticking.

Might want to try some industrial strength velcro. Once the glue on that stuff sets up for 24 hrs it stays put.

Dave
Take 99 feather's advice and clean with the denatured alcohol. I bought a trunk liner from Mid America and installed it and found the emblem was crooked. I had a hard time removing it to send it back.

Industrial strength Velcro is the way to go. Sticks like #$@3 to a blanket.
