My 2001 C5 A4, out of the blue decided to turn on the check engine light and when I checked, it had thrown 15 codes…(I guess it must have felt neglected or something).
All but one were “H” codes, the one current code was “10 PCM 0410 HC” (Air system) which I have gotten once before.
The other codes all seem to be related to “Loss of Communications with…” RFA, LDCM, TCS, PCM…etc.
So I have 2 questions:
1) do other peoples Vettes get lonely from time to time and throw a bunch of Communication errors???
2) Is getting a 10 PCM 0410 HC code every 2 months or so normal (could it be related to my Stinger intake?)
Side note, I had checked the DIC about a week ago, showed no codes??
I agree with the above. And also check for battery leaks and water in the passengers footwell. Just in case. Let us know what you find. And here's hoping someone else will chime in with the answer your looking for.

DTCs U1001-U1254 are lost communication error messages and will happen from time to time. The C5 modules are connected via a class 2 serial data circuit. Each module on the class 2 serial data circuit which is powered and performing functions that require a detection of a communications malfunction is required to send a Node Alive message every 2 seconds. When no message is detected from a module in 5 seconds a DTC will be set. The computer will show two kinds of codes. A current code "C" indicates the malfunction still exists. A history code "H" indicates a past problem. As for the history codes, I generally delete them and don't worry too much about them unless I find something else to give me cause for concern.
I would think that with grounding or battery issues you would see some other type trouble codes in addition to the loss of communications type codes. But, then I could be wrong too.

I would think that could be a possibility in view of the P0410 trouble code. However, I'll defer here to those that are more familar with this area and the Stinger intake.
I would take my Stinger off and clean it real good. You said this has happened before and then you reset it and in a few months it comes back. If this is the case I would not think it would be a short. I'm not saying any one is wrong, but I would start with the easy one first. Clean the Stinger.
Is pcm 0410 code one that I should be overly worried about?? Or if it is only poping up once every month or two, just clear it and keep going?
I do not think the stinger is dirty, the fist code came up within 700 mi of putting it on, 2 months ago. I am going to double check that I do not have an air leak... but I checked last time as well
Vette 4 Fun A little history first. I bought my Y2K in late Nov. came Christmas time I decided I needed a new air filter. Well when I poped things open to remove the filter I noticed the clamp on the throttle body was on upside downand, the tube on the MAF was not attached correctly. Some one becides myself had taken it apart and not put it back together correctly. I fixed everything and checked the codes. I had about a dozen 0410 codes. I cleared the codes and have not had one since. So check very carefully for leaks. Good luck, keep us posted.

It does sound like a good idea to put it off check it reinstall.
