Just want to know if they are all this way or did my Z16 get a bad batch of wheels. I know they are not "High Polished," but are Z16 wheels supposed to be uniformly polished completely on all the outer surfaces? Mine look like a 3rd grader spent about ten seconds just buffing the outside faces of the spokes and rim. But the sides of the spokes and other crevaces hardly got any polishing.
They all like that? Dead of winter around here, no others out and about to compare too.
Thanks
Anybody get any aftermarket rebuffing/clearing done? Wonder how they'd look anodized LeMans Blue?
I agree that they are not highly polished. I had an 02 Electron Blue Coupe with factory polished wheels and ended up changing over to chrome wheels. The wheels look alright when they are just cleaned but shortly after that, they don't look as good, I am sure I will end up putting some chrome wheels on my Z16.
Remember they are clear coated. If you really want them uniform remove the clear coat and polish them to your liking then seal them. What ever you do don't put chromies on instead of the polished wheels. I think it makes them look like a fake Z16. Why take something off that sets it apart from other chomed out Z's.

I don't seem to have any issues, maybe just lucky.

check the pic's on my "thank rodney "post, mine aren't perfect but the pic's give you the idea-i like mine
So the entire wheel is supposed to the polished the same? I am just wondering if replacement wheels would look the same. Mine look great at 20 feet. But up close, only the outermost surfaces are actually buffed to a shine. If I shine a flashlight at the sides of the spokes, you can see the buffer only hit about half of the spoke.
I had a 30th ann. Trans Am that had blue anodized spokes and polished outer wheel. Just thinking something like that might look good on a Z16. I'll show the dealer in the spring, but I'm sure I'll get a blank stare.
