S1K C5 is right, prices are a joke here. I got a good deal on my '00 and was lucky. I haven't seen anything close to what I got for the same price, everything is higher. I got mine from an independent dealer than specializes in muscle cars. He knew the market for C5's had dipped a little with the anticipation of the C6 coming out last year so he cut me a deal. The larger dealers won't budge. Your best bet here is private party or try out of state. If I was to go after a ZO6 I'd definately look out of state.

Hey quick99lsi do you know where Dublin Crown Chevrolet is? If not do a search in google. Look at that freakin 02 Z they have. its 42,900. Its BEAT TO SH|T. If you really want a laff go look at it in person. Its like a slap in the face. my 99 c5 (63,000 miles)sold for 25,000 Im still in shock.
They must be paying premium for the cars like they are for the houses. I'm told my little chicken shack house would bring upwards of $750k in some parts of Ca.
Now if I can just figure a way to get the house out there!

Why is the pricing out of line CA? Is there a shortage of inventory or is something else driving up pricing?
