New one.
They all haze up.
If someone could come out with a refinishing kit of some sort they would make a fortune.
Most of them also start erroding on the right side. Drivers right in a strip about 3 inches wide.
That's factory. I don't know about the aftermarket replacements though.
Someone will chime in.
That's what I expected, but I was hoping somebody had come up with something. It seems stupid to replace the roof just because it gets hazy. Wish the dealer would have warned me about that when I bought the car. I would have kept the roof covered.

Definitely would not buff one. Either replace it with one that you can find on the C5 Parts for Sale section or maybe get the rebuilt one from Mid-America - cost is about $800 through them.
My baby was ordered from the factory and delivered in January '98. I have 160k miles on her and other than the driver side wheel bearings going out at 70k miles, I have never had to do anything but enjoy the car. It still runs as good today as when I first bought it and doesn't use a drop of oil. The top however, is like the C5 interiors, JUST PLAIN CHEAP. The top just clouded over at about 24 months. I am in Texas, so the summers can get pretty brutal. I have previously owned a Z26 with a glass top and it never had a problem. However, this acryllic sucks!!
