Default Frame Savers question?

I was wondering what the dimensions of the frame rail savers was. These are the savers that fit onto the frame under the rocker panels. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

I have both the frame savers and rocker rails. Get both, a must for lowered cars. This link will give install instructions and more.

around 5 feet. just measure under your car. make sure you have them bend up in the front so the slide and don't catch

I think you are referring to the rocker rails. Frame Savers do not attach "the frame under the rocker panels."

If you are actually referring to Frame Savers, let me know, and I'll go measure mine.

Yeah it's the rocker rails that I am interested in. Thinking of making some for my self. I like DIY. Thanks.

Will these rocker rails still let you use the jacking pucks?

I'm sure they will. The rocker rails are strong enough themselves to jack from.

Well I also found these but they are kind of pricey. But they have pads attached for jacking. http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=1.165.4116

You do not need the rails with added jacking pads. The jacking pucks will not be needed with the A&A Rocker Rails. You can jack anywhere along the A&A Rocker Rails (I also place a piece of 2"x4" between the jack & rail).

I looked into a set of the above link, but $289.00 or what ever they were was to much

I went with the Andy's combo

I have the A&A Rails, and they act in place of the jacking pucks

BE VERRRRY CAREFULL!
A friend was jacking up his Z06, with rails. The car slipped off because the jack didn't grip the smooth rail....$3,000 in damage.

That's the very reason I only use the cross members for jacking. I was going to try the pucks but just didn't feel comfortable having the jack stands at such an angle to the body before jacking up the rear.

The rails are good for two post lifts that lift the front and rear in unison. But I wouldn't attempt to use this area with jack stands that the front must be jacked first then the rear.
