I have a 97 coupe that I bought about 4 months ago and I am going through it and fixing/repairing/replacing items so that it is in tip-top shape for spring. One thing I am stuck on is where is the best place to send my radio/CD player for repair. I appears that the motor that drives the CD player is burned out. I have one contact in California that wants $175.00 plus $15.00 for return shipping to repair it, however that seems WAY too high for a repair. I am also missing 3 of the radio buttons. Please help with other places to send the CD player for repair. BTW, this is a "BOSE" unit
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!
Thanks,

Unfortunately that does not sound too high for a repair. A lot of shops simply charge a flat rate to re-build whatever is wrong. I had my CD changer re-built by Doctor Don's. They gave a 24 hour turnaround and did an excellent job!!! (I think the address is www.doctordons.com)
Be cautious on E-bay! You could well be buying someone else's problem. Most sellers comment that the unit is untested been seems fine, but sold as-is. I thought of simply buying a used CD changer, but I opted to repair mine. The repair came with a full warranty. I know what I was getting, and didn't want to get burned.
To each his own (and no flame intended). Buyer beware!
