Default Clutch problems?

Hi guys I have an 04 z with 6700 miles. Latley ive been getting a smell of a burnt clutch, but i doesnt seem to slip. Has anyone else had any problems with them?

Simple and direct answer is...if you are smelling "eau de clutch," you are slipping the clutch too much, either on launch or the shifts. That smell is induced by the driver. It is not normal.

The preventive action on launch is (1) lower the launch rpm and/or (2) get the clutch out faster.

If you're getting that smell at times that don't involve a launch, then you might want to focus some effort on practicing quick shifts with more throttle lift.

I can make 10 good passes in an afternoon at the track and not smell the clutch. In fact I check after each pass by sniffing the driver's side firewall. Very occasionally, I can smell "eau de clutch." That tells me I am violating the guidance outlined above.
