is this intake any good?

If you are looking for better performance, go with a real cold air system like a Vortex Rammer or Vararam. You want to get your air from outside of the engine bay. If money is your main concern, just enlarge the hole on your existing box and replace the filter with a higher flowing material. It will function better than the one you listed.
