Default Oddity Discovered! - Active Handling / Traction Control

By accident, I pushed in the hazard flasher button while the engine was running and within 10 seconds, Service Active Handling - Service Traction Control appeard in the DIC. Thinking this was very unusual, I turned off the flashers and error messages kept appearing.

So, Turned off the engine, waiting a few seconds and re-started and the error messages in the DIC went away - WHEW-. Deciding to tempt fate once more, I re-tried the same pattern and sure enough, same result. Shut the engine off, turn off flashers, restart and all was fine.

Sort of like re-booting the computer when it goes bonkers.

Strictly for the FWIW department! Trivia, happenstance, occurrence, observation - - whatever.

Curious minds want to know --- That begs the question, wonder why it does that?

Interesting. I'm too tired to go try it now.

The altitude of a 4x4 Vette causes the TC to go batty.

Good stuff!!!

I pulled up to the ATM the other day and left the engine running with the flashers on but no problems. I'm going to try it again tomorrow for the hell of it.

BTW...Beautiful Vette

That message will appear anytime there is an electrical short, or problem of sort. It really doesn't have anything to do with your Active handling or TC, its just what it comes up with on the DIC......It is strange though......
