I Have A Bad Habit Of Pushing On The Hand Brake Button When Stopped. Well Now My Hand Brake Works Fine If I Hold The Handle Up,if I Let Go It Goes Back Down. The Rachet Does Not Engage. Any Ideas Whats Wrong.
I don't have a clue. But I see the first two weren't much help either. But you would think you should be able to free it up somehow. Pushing in the **** should render it unusable. Keep us posted and let us know what corrects the situation.

It's easy to check .. just slide the boot cover down .. there is one screw holding the grip on the e-brake lever. Remove the handle and check the spring.
Check and make sure the spring isn't caught, replace the grip and retighten the mounting screw. Just make sure you don't over tighten it ...you'll know if you did when the button won't move in or out. Just loosen the screw a little until the button functions again.
This should take you all of 60-90 seconds. Hope it helps.
