Default Ricer gets bottom spanked

It's about 3:00 P.M. today, with my teenage son, 95 North in the middle lane, heavy traffic, cruising at about 60 MPH. I spot a ricer of some type in my mirror, about 10 cars back, frantically swerving in and out of 3 lanes, passing cars like crazy.

So I'm thinking either this guy's wife is pregnant, or I'm about to experience my weekly ricer fly by. Wrong!

He finally catches me and gets on my ***, and I mean on my ***, about 1'-2' away. Doesn't do anything, just rides my ***.

BTW, it's a mid 90's, Toyota Camry with a bunch of crappy lights and a bra to protect his expensive car. The driver is about a 25 year old Spanish guy.

I let this go on for all of 5 seconds, and nail it, WWWWAAAAAAAAA! (my car is loud as hell at WOT!) and pass a car and get into the high speed lane. Now he's shocked and stays in the same lane, no more fast and furious driving :o , then after a while he casually moves into the passing lane, driving normally like nothing ever happened.... I pull into the travel lane again and creep, waiting for him to pass, he had no choice with the traffic flow but to slowly pass me, when he gets next to me I give it a couple of 5,000 RPM revs and get the dirtiest look I have ever received! It probably didn't help that I had a big **** eating grin on my face. and my son is busting a gut laughing. Just to drive the point home I gave him the old ricer flash of the lights.

He's probably thinking, OOPs I could have had a V8. :o

P.S. Disclaimer, no laws were broken and the speed limit was never exceeded. I was simply taking evasive action while giving my son a driving lesson. I am not a professional driver, I just play one on TV

Sometimes it just needs to be done! I love it...the look on their face as if they expected to beat us?

sounds a little too dangerous to be doing that, especially in heavy highway traffic ... *shakes head* i understand the point you were making but I dont 100% agree.

eitherway, IB4TL.

and also, I hate that look because I've been on the otherside of the look, In my 5.0 when guys come along in their vettes being badasses when I'm just cruisin' .. I give em' a smile or a nod and get nothing. oh well some people are just @ssholes.

I made the huge mistake receently of getting on a supposed "racing forum" that was 99% preteen and teenage ricers. In their version a 1974 Datsun B210 with nothing but a muffler the size of a coffee can would have blown away a built C5R. They are all so full of it.

The forum actually had a "RICE or NICE" section for photos of their cars and they were all so completely RICE, yet they would all heap praises upon anything made in Japan that was not completely totaled and undrivable - I would be totally humiliated if I had a 16 or 17 year old that acted that way.

Sometimes you have to put the ricers in their place. Also I love these guys that criticize you for exceeding the speed limit. Well you critical people that have never exceeded 65mph in your Vette, "Shame on you."

I personally applaud you. I can't believe he came up on you like that. Is there a chance he thought you cut him off or insulted his intelligence somewhow? And I think you just gave me a new line to use on ricers. We need a smilie w/ a V8 can next to it!

I've also noticed that I have yet to have one try to actually race me, just usually fly bys mostly. But this was a new one on me. This guy was so close to me, I actually thought he was going to hit me. These cars seem to bring out the "nut" in some people.

No, we were just cruising along for a while and he came up from way behind. That was the first time I saw him.
