Default Pulling the wheels.......

I know it hard to pull the wheels in a C5, but can it be done, stock suspension? Ive seen C5s in the 1.4 60 foot range not pulling the wheels, yet my buddy in his 00 camaro pulls a 1.6 60 foot with the wheels a foot off the ground. Suggestions......

solid axles are better for off the line... maybe that has something to do with it?

your buddy probally also has a drag suspension w/ much better weight transfer. The c5 is so fricking low w/ a very low CG and no weight transfer.

It may look cool and is done with stock suspension but...the lower the better for ET anyway.

So your saying with a built driveline, slicks, and a 6k rpm launch, the front wheels wont leave the ground? What will happen?

Maybe you should explain what you're trying to achieve. Pulling the front wheels off the ground or running the 60' in under 1.6? As ALLTHROTTLE has pointed out, he has no problem with 1.5's. If you want to pull the wheels, you will probably have to have a higher center of gravity or more power/tires yet.

I have an automatic and flash from idle~950 rpms...........as you see in the pic it hooks-n-cooks down the track. The OEM IRS limits the amount of travel plus this car is 3680# with me in it.
Suggest you go to some races with fast vette's and see what I mean

I would also suggest if you have the F45 suspension that you set the selector to TOUR and for more weight transfer disconnect/drop the front sway bar.

Id like to pull a 1.5 60 or quicker. Its just that Id like some light under my tires with the good 60 foot numbers.
