Has anyone ever heard of this one? On Sept. 30-04 I purchased a new 04 C5 from a dealer 3 hours away from where I live, at FH Dailey Chevrolet in San Leandro Ca. There wasnt many C5s left in Ca. at this time so I went to look at this one and bought it. The only thing missing was the car had been used in a car show by GM to showcase and show the differences between the C5 and the C6 and it no longer had the window sticker on it. The dealer told me they would either find the missing sticker or order one from chev. Needless to say that after 4 1/2 months and many excuses from the dealer, I still do not have a sticker for this car. After a call to Chev. customer Service and an investigation by them, I was told that Chev. cannot get me the window sticker and the dealer would have to do it. Then the dealer tells Customer service that they cannot order a sticker. The dealer never would call me back about this matter. Everytime I called about it, they would just say it was ordered. I was told this 3 times. I know I can get the sticker from the Corvette Museum and will probably end up doing it, but it just gripes me to have to do it this way. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? Also, Does anyone know If its legal to sell a new car with the window sticker missing? Federal Law? Who should I contact if it is? Thanks for your help.
Humm sorry about all the troubles. Speaking of window stickers I would like to have one for my 99 hardtop which the original owner did not have for me. How can I go about getting one for my car?
Order it from the NCM and give the dealer the bill and a handling fee. They are just being CHEAP!! Plain and simple. Print this out and show it to them.

The dealership is being a PIA. You see you bought the car already and they think they dont have to deal with you anymore. Keep after them to get that sticker. I would be calling Customer Service about the Dealership and complain as many times as necessary until you get the Win Sticker
When I bought my 02 S10, the dealer wadded up the sticker and threw it away, while they were getting my truck ready for delivery. Needless to say, someone went dumpster diving, to get me my window sticker. When I bought my 04 Corvette from the same dealer, I removed the sticker prior to the car being moved from the show room.

you should have gotten your sticker from the dealer if it was a new untitled car no question about it i had kind of the same story but my car had 3,500 miles on it so it was used it didnt have the sticker i tried to get it from chevy got a run around. But you should be able to get one since it was a new untitled car the corvette museum you can get one with the build sheet for like 90 bucks make the dealer pay for it or gm!!!!!
