So, besides the rear compartment lights, front courtesy lights and now the mirror, along with the switches (doors, console, I/P) is there anything else we can LED?
Anyone do the underhood light?
I looked at that light, but it's welded on there I think. It was weird bulb. Besides, I don't think the heat would be good for the LED's.
I'm looking at doing the under the exterior door handles. Like the Beamer has when you walk up and unlock the doors. It's a cool little courtesy light.

I was also thinking about that, or possibly the inside door handles so when you turn off your car they light up and you can see the handles.

How may bulbs and do I need resistors for both or neither?
For the door panels, you will need 6 LEDs, but purchase these with the resistors. If you are going to do blue or white, I would recomend gettin gthe 3mm LEDs, that way you don't have to cut down the larger 5mm LEDs to fit into the holes (Onzium only offers blue and white 3mm LEDs right now...if you want a different color like red or green you will have to get the bulbs in 5mm and cut them down).
I would recomend getting at least 10 LEDs for just the doors, in case anything happens to one of the LEDs.
For the mirrors, (correct me if I'm wrong Dave) it appears you do not need to use the resistors, because you are merely exchanging the stock green/yellow LEDs with the new colored ones. You can use either 5mm or 3mm LEDs here, probably the 5mm ones would work best becuase they are closest to stock size. You will need twelve to do the mirror (six for each site).
All in all, I would order around 25 LEDs to do this project (always have a few extra). This should only cost about $15 dollars or so if you go to http://www.oznium.com/led

Dave the mirror on the C5 is way different than the Z06. You have the buttoms on the front of the mirror and the C5 doesn't. Just the switch for turning the lights on. Thanks.

Just saw this. I have halogen bulbs Oh well. Off to Auto Zone for Colored Bulbs!
That interior looks amazing!!! Bet it would look even cooler with a nice Avic-N1 navigation unit;-)
Ok my question for you that I have been curious about since my LED's are already on order as well. Do these LED's allow for dimming as all the lights do stock? I sat in my car today and nopticed all the interior lights including the door panel lights dim. Let me know.
Thanks

There are two different mirror offered on C5 vehicles. One is the base and has a switch at the bottom of the mirror; the other mirror is the auto dimming mirror and has two buttons on the lower front. The auto dimming mirror uses the six LEDs on each side for the map lights.

I have a 01 Coupe and it has the photochromatic mirror - better known as the auto dimming mirror, like EFI-1.
