So… there I was… at the local Dodge dealership. I had been saving my money for a while to buy that new Magnum Hemi. The only thing that bothered me was that I knew darn well that every soccer mom in the valley would be driving one of these in a year or two. How cool am I going to feel then? The Magnum on the lot that I had worked so hard for a week grinding the salesman down on the price had just been sold minutes before I got there! I was pissed!!!
A blessing in disguise…
I left the lot and decided to just calm down and look elsewhere some other day, when I suddenly came across the local Chevy dealership… and then … I caught the glimpse of the sun reflecting off of maroon paint. There… the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Parked out front of the lot, in view for all to see, was a 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette Convertible! I parked my old Jeep around the corner and slowly approached the beauty. Yeah… now that’s what I’m talkin’ about. Dodge Magnum? What was I thinking? Instantly, a salesman was on me like a buzzard sensing death. The next thing I knew, I was behind the wheel… ah… the sound of that engine at idle. Truly a thing of beauty.
Although I didn’t purchase this particular one, I did find one with just under 10K miles and brought her home last week! Soccer moms beware…
Anyway, I’m 49, single, living in So. Cal. and I’m enjoying this forum and loving my C5! Hello everybody!!!
