My new rotors shold be here soon, SO, I want ceramic pads. Raybestos quiet stops were recomended by Mark at VNM, I went to NAPA and they have the ceramics that are made by Raybestos. Are there any other brands I should consider. The best price on Raybestos was from Rockauto...131 shippped. I can get the NAPA (quiet stops) for 141. Whatcha think??????
todd, how ya been. I recently got some Sportbrake rotors and hawk pads (came as a "special" set). From what I have heard ceramic pads, are ceramic pads, doesnt really matter what brand. If the price diff is only a couple bucks I would go for the better name, but thats my own opinion. You're making a smart move getting ceramic pads, what a difference in performance and cleanliness! keeps my chromies looking goooooood. If you have the time and the resources, look into getting some SS brake lines to the calipers, also makes a BIG difference in braking feel.

Good advice. One thing. I went to Baer's web site and they say to break in the new rotors with old pads and new pads with old rotors. Once broken in then put the new pads in. Just a thought.
I run Reybestos Quiet Stops on mine. However, I have EBS Greenies on the Mercedes SLK and they stop equally well with less dust. I give the edge to EBS Greenies because of the dust. Both feel the same at the pedel.
I got the GM ceramics -- right before the price drop! Check with Fitchner Chevy, I think you can get the GM ceramics for about $80 now. I paid about $140.
