I was looking at 2 04 coups (Black and Gray). Well they both sold before my house did. : Found a 03 with only 13000 miles (on the net). The salesman says that the car is a 50th Anniversary car. Question is: Could you get a 50th in Gray? I thought it was only red? Thanks for any replies.
I'm kinda of new to this but will try to answer - I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along shortly.
All 2003's are "50th" anniversay. The one you may be thinking of is the "CE" or Commemorative Edition, which, I believe was a special red color with a shale interior, including the upper parts of the interior.

Gorgeous cars those CE's.
My 2003 has 50th badges on the front and rear of the car.

I could be off here also, but all 03's are 50th anniversary editions.
There is an anniversary red w/shale interior.
The 04's are the commemorative edition which is lemans blue with shale interior.
Hope this is correct.
Steve.
I thought that the CE was a 2004. I looked on Corvette Action Center and there is no CE listed, just the 50th Anniversary Package. The color in the Package is listed as Red. That is why I wondered if you could get the package in gray.
All 2003's are 50th anniversary cars, however GM Chevy did make an Anniversary edition car. It is painted in "anniversary red"(that's the name of the paint color) and came with the shale interior. (Like my car!!! ) This car is not to be confused with the CE edition that came out in 04 commemorating the C5(last year of production) which also came with a shale interior. Hope this clears thing up...
It's not a silly question. Be careful when you buy an 03. Some dealers add 3k or 4k to the price just because of the badges on the hood and trunk. The only one that gets the extra is the true AE. The RPO code, 1SC will be in the glovebox. The 1SC package cost 5k extra when new.
Hope you get the one you want soon. Good luck!

This is correct. Our '03 MSG has the 50th anniversary front and rear badging as did all cars for that model year. The 50th Anniversary Edition (Red) cars also came with special left and right front finder badges.
I will be looking at car on Sunday (I hope). He is asking 34995. Does that seem high if car is in excellent shape? It has chrome wheels, HUD (so I assume it is a 1SB car), MN6.

Very good point. I wouldn't put it past a salesman to try it. But most likely they would do it without knowing that it's the 1SC package that gets the extra hit.
